Below are the standout trends from Stockholm Fashion Week AW19. In true Scandi fashion, the trends transcended gender and included our favorite color: black. From elegant flowing full-lengths to barely-there crops, these are the trends you’ll see in editorials and Södermalm streets alike.

DARK ELEGANCE

Whatever the mood, whatever the occasion…the elegance of black knows no bounds! All around town, black appeared on runways in sequins, velvets and silks cementing its status as a tried-and-true Scandi go-to and our favorite hue.

CHINESE TAKE-OUT

From a Raf Simons Spring 2018 redux to qipaos and voluminous traditional embroideries and graphic patchwork prints, Fashion Week Stockholm designers phoned-in a taste of Imperialism.

VERSATILITY

This season the internationally-trending vest took on new life, and new lengths. It came short enough to barely cover the nips and long enough to flirt with the knees. Horizontally, it even came sized for two!

HOT PANTS

Just because it’s not summer doesn’t mean you can’t show a little leg, or chest. Easy access, shirt optional…these pants are definitely hot enough to be a fire hazard!
