“I could tell by the je-wels you go for the ice
Plus you wear the shoes well, the suits flows nice”

How fitting that one of the songs blasting in the hot DJ set was Foxy
Brown’s 1996 hit “Get Me Home.”

The late nineties and early aughts influence of Y2K club kids, hip hop
and NYC of the yester year were undeniable in Jérôme LaMaar’s styling and Anthony Hendrickson’s handiwork. Chains. Furs. Bright
colors. Leather. And, of course, denim (the basis of the collection)
… the debut presentation of M65 had it all! Foxy could’ve worn every
look, that she wrestled out of my hands.

“Ooh baby, I need you want you in my life
Gotta get you home with me tonight”

While Anthony Hendrickson counts designers Jérôme LaMaar (9J), Shayne
Oliver (Hood by Air) and Telfar Clemens (Telfar) as friends, I’m sure
we’ll soon be calling them his peers with future installments of M65.
Look out for the celebrity following sure to come, flossin “at the bar
high post.”

Happy birthday Foxy!
